The Hormann Rollmatic roller door is a well designed, high quality, insulated roller door. All Rollmatics are made-to-measure at no extra cost, constructed in Germany to Hormann's usual high standards, arrive on short lead times (approx. 3 weeks) and are available in various colours and finishes. The Hormann Rollmatic is a very safe garage door. At any point of the door's travel, the bottom seal can detect an object in the way and stop the door.

The Rollmatic comes with a full roller box enclosure in the same colour as the door slats. This makes it very neat on the inside, as well. The motor is fitted left-hand, looking out. If the control box, with light, needs to be situated on the right-hand side, a 10 metre motor connection cable must be ordered separately. The slats are smooth, not ribbed, foam filled with 100% CFC-free rigid polyurethane and can have glazing elements on request to allow daylight into the garage. Maximum 10 slats with glazing elements per door.

The space saving nature of the Hormann Rollmatic ensures maximum entrance width, drive length and maximum space in the garage. The box housing is 290mm square on doors up to 2300mm high (not including box) and 335mm square on doors over 2300mm. Guide channels are 100mm wide and the door can be fitted on the rear of the brickwork or in between brickwork. Unlike almost all other insulated roller garage doors, the Hormann Rollmatic can be manual, if needs be. E.g. No electrics in the garage. The manual door is slightly cheaper, light to open/close and very secure. It comes with heavy duty locking in the bottom rail and an internal chain hoist for easy opening from the inside. The Rollmatic comes in Traffic White, as standard, or any of eight standard colours, at no extra cost. The Golden Oak and Rosewood Decograin finishes are approx. 20% dearer.

The Hormann Rollmatic has side-mounted springs housed in a plastic cover, a fully integrated mechanical door security devise making a forced entry extremely difficult and windlocks. These mean that the Hormann roller doors can stand up to Class 5 wind loads. They also add to the security of the door. Importantly, the Rollmatic comes very well packaged, with clear fitting instructions and is quick and easy to fit. The Rollmatic comes with 2 hand transmitters, as standard, and internal override. If there is no other means of access into the garage, a Hormann optional external emergency release will be needed. Other extras include battery back-up, 110dB alarm, radio finger scanner and Hormann digital radio code switch. For sloping garage openings, a chamfered bottom profile is available in black or in the same colour as the door.
