Hormann Garage Doors, from a standing start in the UK garage door market in 1979, have become the brand name synonymous with quality German design and manufacture. They have forced the British brands to play catch up and are now the most requested brand of garage door in the UK.

The well priced Hormann up and over doors are constructed from a thick gauge of high quality steel. They come powder coat finished as standard. The lifting gear is the best in the industry, and the pop rivet free invisible welds on the door make the panel very neat and strong. Hormann Canopy and Retractable garage doors are available in standard sizes only. Hormann's wide range of sizes, fitting methods and choice of pre-installed steel frame sizes mean most people can purchase a Hormann garage door that will fit their opening.

Hormann timber garage doors are constructed using high grade organic cedar wood and Hormann’s steel open for infill (OFI) garage door chassis. Hormann offer standard sizes only in their wooden garage doors and GRP fibreglass garage doors but a wide range of sizes and frame types mean most garages can fit one. Again, the Hormann GRP door is also constructed by means of a GRP panel bonded to a steel OFI door chassis.

The Hormann LTE range is the non-insulated single skin steel sectional garage door range now available in standard RAL colours on request. The EPU 40 Hormann sectional doors are 20 mm thick foam filled twin walled steel doors. The LPU 40 sectional garage door is 42 mm thick foam filled and available in standard RAL colours, special RAL colours and Decograin wood grain finishes.

In 2009 Hormann launched the Rollmatic Roller garage door. This is a high quality roller garage door made up from individual foam filled aluminium slats. The Hormann Rollmatic comes fully automatic with full box housing as standard, and all the usual Hormann touches of quality design and manufacture. The prices of the Hormann Rollmatic have come down recently showing Hormann's determination in having a good market share in the UK roller door market.
